Biodigester
Workshop Series
Join us for a hands-on, multi-part workshop series where we’ll learn to build a biodigester that transforms food and human waste into clean cooking gas — with the first workshop guided by a Bio-Process Engineer with over 20 years of experience. Together, over the course of the five workshops, we’ll construct a fully integrated system complete with an outhouse and gas-heated shower, documenting every step as we work toward a replicable model we can bring to schools, gardens, and homesteads across the region.
🏗️ Workshop 1 — Foundations of the Future
In the Beginning, There Was Waste
4.25.2026 • 10am – 3pm • Location: Citra, FL • Donations Gratefully Received
Learn about the bio-digestion system, share a nourishing potluck lunch, and build the machine’s foundation.
🛒🍌 Workshop 2 — Feed the Beast
Rot Locally, Power Globally
TBA
Gather any remaining materials needed to make the machine fully functional & begin adding food waste to the machine.
🔥 Workshop 3 — The Moment of Truth
Gas We Did It
TBA
Celebrate by cooking a meal with the gas we created — in person or streamed online!
🚽 Workshop 4 — Close the Loop
Nature Makes No Waste — And Neither Will We
TBA
Began building an outhouse over the machine so waste can feed it directly with ease
🚿 Workshop 5 — Full Circle
From Scraps to Steam
TBA
Cmplete the construction of the outhouse. Connect a shower to the outhouse and use the biogas to heat the water — a fully integrated living system!
📹 We’ll be documenting every step and would love to share the process with anyone interested!
🌍 The Big Vision
Our hope is that this evolves into something we can replicate quickly and bring to schools, gardens, homesteads, and organizations throughout the area — and eventually build a mobile version to travel with and show what’s possible.
But the first step is simply to learn how to do it. 🌀
RSVP to receive the address. See you there! 🙌
Terms & Conditions of Participation
Homeoasis Biodigester Workshop Series
1. Personal Responsibility
By attending and participating in this workshop series, you accept full and sole responsibility for yourself, your actions, your property, and your wellbeing while present on the land Homeoasis. You agree that the hosts, organizers, and landstewards are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during your time here.
2. Commitment to Private Remedy
You agree that should any conflict, dispute, or harm arise in connection with this event or community, you commit to first seeking resolution directly and privately — as a living man, woman, or being — through open, empowered, and good-faith communication with those involved. We honor each other’s sovereignty and commit to working through conflict before escalating to any outside system or authority.
3. Private Mediation
If direct communication does not result in a satisfactory remedy for all parties, those in conflict agree to bring in a mutually agreed-upon, independent private mediator to support the process of finding collective resolution. The mediator shall have no affiliation with either party and shall serve only to facilitate fair and peaceful remedy.
4. Mediator Selection Process
If those in conflict are unable to agree on a single mediator, each party shall independently select a mediator of their choosing. Those two chosen mediators will then confer and together select a third mediator, whose decision to facilitate the process shall be binding and accepted by all parties.
5. Good Faith
All parties agree to engage in every step of this process with honesty, respect, and a genuine intention to restore harmony — honoring the spirit of this gathering and the land we gather on.
